These fractal ferns remind me of the summers I went to
Westtown School while my
mother did administrative work for the Northfield League. I was too young to be suitably impressed by the large number of ministers and young women, so I wandered around the grounds, exploring the well kept woods and gardens. there was one walled garden surrounded by a hedge and overgrown with enoumous ferns. The place was inhabited by dragonflies which hovered primeavally in the steamy air or paused, weightless on the tip of the curling fronds.
