Mostly Angels now-a-days

Sunday, April 21, 2002
I was at an open forum studio at The Art Center. Florida Society of Goldsmiths has a work shop there. A woman named Leslie proctored the forum, and Ken, who also monitors the studio, sat in too and worked on a solid looking cheese knife.
Back in the corner, there's an aloe plant on the grey marble window ledge, the scales on it have grown big and healthy. A red species that I've never seen before. The poor aloe has withered a bit, more from a swamp of helpful waterings than the fat parisites. A thread of sugar loving ants has wound it's way up the wall and past the coffee pot to tap the sticky residue from the scale bugs.
